Located at 54º49’S, 68º17’W, the port of Ushuaia has been chosen by many tour operators as a major gateway to the Antarctic. The pier is 514 meters long (1713 feet) and 28 meters (93 feet) wide and is operational on both sides at low and high tide. Depth at port allows large ships and icebreakers to come alongside the pier.
